We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various accounting tasks.Responsibilities :
- Perform daily data entry, clerical tasks, and maintain up-to-date financial spreadsheets and records
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable (majority of time), accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Be a backup for payroll processing and group benefits administration.
- Process and reconcile employee expense reports, company credit card transaction ensuring compliance with company policies
- Ensure timely and accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately
- Meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines, including reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.
- Support monthly financial reporting and budgeting by analysing manufacturing costs, including material, labour and overhead.
- Support in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
- Reconcile discrepancies in financial statements or general ledger accounts
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize financial workflows.
- Provide administrative support as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; pursuing a CPA or similar designation would be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Expertise with Accounting Systems, ERP Systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
