Classification: Full Time, Immediate Hire

Salary Range: $50,000 Yearly

Your area of focus:

The Junior Accountant is an entry-level role in the department. A Junior Accountant is eager to learn and execute transactional responsibilities, develop new skills, and support the accounting department as a whole.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Assist Senior Accountants with full-cycle accounting functions across multiple Collision Centres.
• Help prepare month-end and quarter-end reports.
• Prepare and process journal entries for business transactions.
• Assist with balance sheet cleanup to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial statements.
• Prepare monthly Accounts Receivable reconciliations, including posting customer deposits.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash deposit reports.
• Oversee Accounts Payable functions: posting invoices, issuing vendor payments, processing employee expense reports, and resolving invoicing issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and Collision Centre Managers on financial matters.
• Reconcile sales, payables, and cash receipts data between management systems and accounting software.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Treasury teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure insurance billing compliance and collections.
• Work with the team to improve processes and maintain internal controls.
• Support monthly and quarterly projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Provide weekly updates on duties performed.
• Assist with audit requests from external auditors.
