Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an Accountant in the Civic Campus Finance Services team. The role is temporary through about May 28, 2028, with days Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00.

You will manage month-end processes, prepare adjusting entries and accruals, reconcile accounts, and assist with quarterly and year-end audits while supporting reporting needs. Qualifications include a university degree in accounting or a related 3-year finance diploma, plus two years in general accounting, Oracle

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or 3-year finance diploma.
• Two years of general accounting experience.
• Experience in accounting and financial records.
• Knowledge of Oracle software.
• Proficient in Excel and Word at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control, and monitor transactions in the month-end cycle.
• Prepare adjusting entries and accruals per GAAP.
• Coordinate and record information from sources and reconcile accounts.
• Analyze Balance Sheet accounts and prepare working papers for audits.
• Assist quarterly and year-end reporting as required.
