The Ottawa Hospital is seeking an Accountant in the Civic Campus Finance Services team. The role is temporary through about May 28, 2028, with days Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00.
You will manage month-end processes, prepare adjusting entries and accruals, reconcile accounts, and assist with quarterly and year-end audits while supporting reporting needs. This position is within the Financial Services Department at the Civic Campus.
The Accountant, as part of the Accounting team, is responsible for preparing, controlling and monitoring all types of transactions related to the month end accounting cycle. Tasks include preparing adjusting entries and accruals in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, coordinating and recording information received from other sources, account reconciliations, analysis of related Balance Sheet accounts as well as preparation of working papers for quarterly and year end audit files and other reporting as required.
