Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting or related field with 4+ years of full-cycle general accounting experience.
• Strong emphasis on accounts receivable, cash flow management, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and intercompany reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable Management: invoicing, billings, collections, and cash flow reporting.
• Month-End Close: prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit prep.
• Intercompany Reconciliations: review/manage reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Collaboration with Overseas Teams: coordinate with accounting teams abroad for consistency.
• Year-End Close: support year-end close and audit documentation.
• ERP Utilization: leverage ERP experience to streamline reporting and processes.
• Controller Support: provide key support to Controller on finance projects.

Position Title: Accountant

Additional Notes: Our client is a global manufacturer that safeguards products and systems by supplying efficient third-party compliance and market access solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join their team.

We are looking for someone to play a crucial role in supporting the Controller with the end-to-end accounting cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable (AR) and will be instrumental in managing cash flow and month-end requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accounts Receivable Management: Take ownership of invoicing, billings, collections, and cash flow reporting.
• Month-End Close: Play a critical role in month-end reporting, including preparing financial statements, conducting bank & balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audit preparations.
• Intercompany Reconciliations: Review and manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Assist in budget creation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaboration with Overseas Teams: Act as the primary contact for the accounting team abroad, reviewing their bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Year-End Close: Contribute to the year-end close process, including the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit documentation.
• ERP Utilization: Leverage your experience working within an ERP environment to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Controller Support: Work closely with the Controller as a key right-hand person, providing support on various accounting functions and projects.

The ideal candidate will hold post secondary education in accounting or a related field and have over 4 years of experience in full-cycle general accounting, with a strong focus and understanding of the accounts receivable processes.

You will be able to demonstrate how you have worked through a month end close, prepared budgets, and managed cash flow in your previous roles.

You should be able to demonstrate proficiency in technology, especially with NetSuite or other large ERP systems.
