ANNUAL SALARY:$127,920.00to$155,083.50

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director, Financial Services, the Manager, Revenue and Payment Services leads the Hospital's revenue, payment, and transactional accounting functions, ensuring that financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements. As a key member of the Finance leadership team, this role supports operational excellence through strong financial stewardship, service delivery, and continuous process improvement.

As a trusted advisor and collaborative people leader, the Manager will:

• Lead the Hospital's revenue and payment service functions, ensuring reliable, efficient, and customer-focused financial operations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, collections, and revenue recovery activities to maximize revenue opportunities and support financial sustainability.
• Provide leadership for accounts payable, vendor payments, employee expense administration, and related transactional processes.
• Oversee physician payment administration, operational banking and cash management activities, and commodity tax compliance.
• Strengthen operational policies, procedures, internal controls, and workflows to improve service quality, compliance, and efficiency.
• Monitor financial transaction trends and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture, billing accuracy, collections performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate is a service-oriented finance leader who combines strong operational expertise with a commitment to exceptional customer service and financial stewardship. They excel at leading teams, improving processes, and building effective partnerships to ensure financial operations are accurate, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the organization.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• A four-year undergraduate university degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent discipline.
• Five (5) years of financial management experience with progressive leadership responsibilities, ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of current accounting standards and practices for Public Sector Bodies and Charitable, Not-for-Profit Organizations.
• Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency Charities Directorate regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team development skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and high-quality service.

PREFERRED

• Knowledge of HST/GST requirements for hospitals and related foundations.
• Knowledge of Ministry of Health capital processes, reporting requirements, and MIS guidelines.
• Knowledge of the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act.
• LEAN Management or other business process improvement training and experience.
