What will you be doing?

As a crucial member of our retail team, the Account Specialist will be expected to enhance Circana’s relationship with tier-one Canadian retailers by providing them with actionable insights that inform their business decisions. This involves discussing business challenges, providing advice and recommendations based on market trends, clients’ financial capabilities and other key organizational factors. The Account Specialist is accountable for delivering timely, high quality, and accurate insights from Circana’s unique data sources to their assigned clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the account plan, set engagement plan with retailers, develop strategies and actions to achieve the objectives.
  • Lead the retailer relationship and proactively develop relationships in line with the account plan.
  • Define business problems through consultations with retailers and provide solutions appropriate to their business needs.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations through incorporating analyses from different Circana data sources, provide and present ‘so what’ based insights through storytelling.
  • Utilizing multiple data sources, including point-of-sale and consumer panel data, to objectively partner with the retailer to help them grow their business and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with retailers and internal stakeholders to align on key milestones, desired outcomes, resources required and timeline for delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business preferred) plus 2+ years of experience within client services, retail, or account management.
  • Corporate Fashion and Beauty retail experience preferred.
  • Critical thinker, ability to synthesize data and develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations using multiple data sources.
  • Experience leveraging Circana, NPD, IRI or Nielsen syndicated POS or Consumer data sets ideal.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a comfort level presenting to internal and external audiences.
  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Location

This position can be located in the following area(s): Greater Toronto Area – Remote.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive/commissions/equity pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
