Position Overview
An experienced salesperson is desired to join our B2B Sales team who will be responsible for promoting DKK’s premium Home & Kitchen products within specialty and mass market retailers, broker/distributor accounts, sales rep agencies, and national accounts in order to maintain and grow sales.
This role reports to the Head of Sales and will be responsible for generating sales from new and existing retail customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter willing to roll up their sleeves and work to build the Espro, Liiton & VIVA brands at Retail. This individual must have an entrepreneurial mindset with the flexibility to excel in a startup work environment with big goals and exponential growth!
Location
Toronto, Ontario, Canada - in office (expected up to 50% travel)
Compensation
$40k/yr Base + Commission (expected potential to double or more annual salary)
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
• Conduct retail account sales calls and make formal presentations of company pricing, products and promotions to regional or national retail customers.
• Implement business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities with major accounts.
• Provide ongoing support to high value clients ensuring they receive high quality customer service.
• Responsible for the direct sales process (from prospect to PO), to meet sales targets.
• Organize visits to current and potential clients, including tradeshow support and attendance.
• Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients.
• Maintain product distribution in all locations and conducts store checks to maintain/maximize shelf space.
• Communicate all pricing and promotional information and updates to customers.
• Prepare sales pipeline reporting, market activity and related progress reports.
• Participates in account events such as trade shows, ambassador events, grand openings, and any other promotional support. This may include weekends or other high-volume retail days.
• Manages all expenses as related to this position within budget assigned by the Company.
• Additional sales-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent required, university degree desired.
• 3-5 years Consumer Product Goods sales experience managing specialty or national Retailers in the USA and Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Current passport holder.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
