Job description

Our client, a recognized leader in 3PL, warehousing, and distribution services, is seeking an Account Executive in Calgary, AB and Toronto, ON.

Purpose of the Position As an Account Executive, you will work with both new and existing customers to develop transportation solutions across LTL, Truckload, and international supply chain networks.

Major Responsibilities

  • Execute business development strategies, sales processes, and best practices across the organization.
  • Build and prioritize strategic target account lists within a defined territory or industry.
  • Generate new leads, identify and engage decision-makers, qualify business opportunities, and manage a sales tracker.
  • Research and grow accounts by adding leads/contacts, sending targeted emails, and conducting strategic cold-calling.
  • Lead cold-calling and warm-calling campaigns to drive business growth.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline tracker and provide weekly reports in sales meetings.
  • Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives at prospective client companies.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Education or strong knowledge in Transportation, Logistics, Freight, or Supply Chain is highly valued and directly impacts compensation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven sales success, preferably within the transportation or logistics sector.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong relationship builder with both clients and vendor partners.
  • Skilled at lead generation through cold-calling and email campaigns.
  • Relevant experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Transportation Management.
  • Proficient in social media marketing and creating compelling PowerPoint presentations.
  • Customer-focused with a drive to develop new business and nurture long-term relationships.
  • Experienced in building and managing a robust sales pipeline.
