Overview
The Account Director must be strategically minded; they will serve as a key team lead, the bridge between client and agency as well as agency partners, and oversee multiple workstreams on a global auto account. They must be able to build and enhance internal team dynamics, strengthen our client relationships and build trust. They are valued partners to senior brand managers and marketing directors, as well as agency leaders.
The Account Director must exhibit strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure that client, agency, and vendor relationships are thriving and that campaigns are strategically designed to meet client objectives and achieve the KPI’s.
Responsibilities
Oversee the creation, execution and optimization of marketing campaigns, all while meeting client objectives and driving measurable results
Proficiency in leading and managing multiple projects, end-to-end, to tight deadlines - in a fast-paced environment
Vast experience in broadcast, digital, social production – with clear understanding of process and problem-solving abilities
Strong oral and written communication, across both client and internal communications
Driving thought leadership and strategic deliverables for the future of the brand
Selling and presentation of strategic marketing direction/pov’s, deliverables and recommendations to the client
Staying up-to-date on all relevant activities from competitors and peripheral categories
Building collaborative and trusted relationships with creative and strategic agency partners
Demonstrating a problem-solving mentality
Qualifications
Must have 6 – 7 years of relevant experience (e.g. account management, client services, marketing strategy) ideally with an auto client
Prior success with developing and growing strong relationships with clients and agencies
Ability to manage process and with selective involvement from executives.
Ensure management of client expectations around timing, deliverables, and budget
Demonstrated leadership and ability to inspire collaboration and teamwork
Ability to navigate and optimize cross-agency relationships
Experience working with creative and other agency teams
Experience managing time-sensitive, fixed cost projects
Previous experience working with large brands/budgets and managing projects of scale
Strong team mentality with the ability to function at high level in both lead and supports roles with various personalities
Ability to multi-task and maintain a high standard of work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent project management skills; strong attention to detail and cross-team coordination
