Job summary

CRH Canada, through its Dufferin Aggregates division, is hiring a Licensed 433A Millwright in Acton, Ontario. The role features a weekly rotating schedule with early and late shifts and a starting wage of $43.04 per hour plus a $1.25 shift premium for Afternoon and Night shifts.

The successful candidate will perform preventive/corrective maintenance, contribute to process improvements, and work on diverse heavy industrial equipment within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Valid 433A Millwright license.
• 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics.
• Hoisting and rigging knowledge is a strong asset.
• Experience with welding, cutting and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment in good operating condition.
• Contribute to projects (process/continuous improvement, reliability) and support annual shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair Ready-Mix concrete production equipment (conveyors, pumps, actuators, boilers, etc.).
• Welding, cutting, brazing using various techniques and materials.
• Maintain transmission systems from motors to gearboxes and related components.
• Remove outdated equipment as assigned and maintain good housekeeping.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance and providing support during breakdowns.
• Responsible for project work (process and/or continuous improvement, reliability) and part of the annual shut-down team responsible for overhauls
• Troubleshooting and maintain (repair, overhaul, install, replace) of Ready-Mix concrete production equipment: belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers & water heaters, and similar equipment.
• Welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals.
• Troublt and matain transmission systems from motors to gearboxes, sheaves/pulleys, shafts, bearing
• Removal of outdated and unused equipment as assigned.
• Housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid 433A Millwright License
• 5 Years of expeirence in an heavy industrial setting as a Millright.
• Expeirnece welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals
• Hoisting and Rigging knowledge (considered strong asset)
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, work procedures
