Job summary

DMC Mining Services is seeking experienced Millwrights for a full-time contract in Sudbury, ON. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and handle installation, alignment, dismantling, inspection, and maintenance of equipment across mining facilities.

The role requires trade certification (433A) in Ontario and at least 4 years of industrial experience. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and retirement plans is offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance work as directed by supervisor.
• Install, dismantle, assemble, construct, erect, move, replace, inspect, adjust, maintain and repair equipment and structures in mines/plants.
• Install, inspect, service and test hoisting ropes and shaft conveyances.
• Align with safety policies and regulations.
• Contribute to long-term and short-term maintenance initiatives and procedures.

Summary

DMC is currently looking for Millwrights to join our team on a full-time contract basis, based in Sudbury, ON. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for installing, aligning, and dismantling of equipment for inspecting and maintaining of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance work as directed by their supervisor
• To install, dismantle, assemble, construct, erect, move, replace, inspect, adjust, maintain, and repair mechanical and process equipment and structures throughout mines and plants
• To install, inspect, service, and test hoisting ropes and shaft conveyances
• To perform metal welding excluding pressure welding
• Align with work safety policies and safety regulations
• Team members are also involved in the development of long-term and short-term maintenance initiatives, practices, and procedures

Qualifications

• Basic Underground Common Core 770010 Program (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0012)
• Strong organizational and time management skills are expected
• Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principles is preferred
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment (hoist, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, pumps, overhead cranes) are considered an asset
• Oxy acetylene cutting and burning
• Welding tickets are considered an asset
• Mechanical and hydraulic blueprint reading is considered an asset
• Trade Certification: A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Red seal trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) is required
• Experience: 4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred

Additional Information

• We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
• Hourly range is expected to be between: $20 to $28 (CAD) + hourly incentive bonus.
