Job Title: 3P Machine Operator

Job Description

The 3P Machine Operator sets up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the production of company products. This role follows detailed process sheets and written or verbal instructions to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently. The operator checks and inspects operations against predetermined tolerances to ensure quality standards and frequently interacts with peers and customers to exchange or present factual information. Assignments are moderately difficult and require sound judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations, with objectives and goals provided but minimal day-to-day supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of automatic and semi-automatic machines used in product manufacturing.
• Follow process sheets and written or verbal instructions to complete production tasks accurately and on time.
• Check and inspect machine operations against predetermined tolerances to ensure consistent product quality.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during machine setup and production activities.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and related documentation to perform machine operations correctly.
• Perform assembly tasks as required to support production workflows.
• Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with machines, processes, or product quality and recommend solutions.
• Work on moderately difficult assignments that require judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
• Meet defined objectives and goals using the prescribed processes while maintaining high productivity and quality.
• Interact frequently with peers and customers to exchange or present factual information related to production and processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment at all times.
• Meet Safety, Attendance, and Code of Conduct policy requirements consistently.
• Demonstrate self-direction within a team environment, contributing positively to team performance.
• Maintain visual and hand dexterity necessary for precise machine operation and inspection tasks.
• Sit and/or stand for long periods as required to complete production assignments.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of related experience in machine operation or CNC machine operating.
• Proficiency in operating automatic and semi-automatic production machines.
• Experience with CNC equipment and general machine operating tasks.
• Ability to perform general labor and assembly work in a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address production and machine issues.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process documentation.
• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed.
• Visual and hand dexterity to perform precise machine operation and inspection tasks.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods during the shift.
• Consistent adherence to Safety, Attendance, and Code of Conduct policies.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical behavior and integrity in line with company standards.
• Ability to work with self-direction within a team environment.

Work Environment

This role operates in a production and manufacturing environment with regular use of automatic, semi-automatic, and CNC machines, as well as hand tools and power tools. The position follows a day shift schedule from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The work requires the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, maintain visual and hand dexterity, and sit and/or stand for extended periods. Safety is a core priority, and employees must use proper safety equipment and follow all safety procedures at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
