Job summary

A contract-to-hire Machine Operator role is based in WATERLOO, ON. You will work at the end of a mill, packing boxes, deburring tubes, and moving tubes across the facility, with occasional assistance to the mill operator.

You'll perform quality control using calipers and micrometers, and after 2–4 months you may begin training to become an operator. The job is physically demanding, with lifts up to 50 pounds.

Job Description

Responsibilities also include quality control using measuring tools. After 2-4 months of gaining comfort with the machine, candidates will begin training to become an operator. The role is physically demanding and involves lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Work in an automotive manufacturing setting, specifically involving stainless steel tubing for bus frames, exhaust pipes, airbags, and tubing. Collaborate in teams of 3-5 in a social environment, always with at least one other person.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
