Job summary

Emcon Services Inc. is seeking a 310T Licensed Technician to join the Thunder Bay W – Atikokan, ON team. The role involves inspections, repairs, and implementing our preventative maintenance program for a fleet of trucks and trailers from the Atikokan shop.

Ideal candidates hold a 310T license with related experience; apprentices are welcome, and 310S/310J licenses are assets. DriveON registration and a valid Ontario driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T) required.
• Motive Power Technician diploma or equivalent trade experience.
• 310S Automotive Service Technician license considered an asset.
• 310J Truck-Trailer Service Technician license considered an asset.
• Apprentices welcome for developmental program.
• Registered for DriveON portal.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License.
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs.
• Knowledge of engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics and repair.
• Experience on heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks and snow-plow trucks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual safety inspections on fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment.

DESCRIPTION
Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Thunder Bay W, Ontario division working out of our Atikokan Shop.

This position is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections, performing repairs and following our preventative maintenance program on our current fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment. Duties assigned by Lead-Hand/Mechanical Superintendent.

• Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
• Capable of working overtime as required
• Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown

This role is a unionized position with wages and benefits as outlined by the collective agreement.

Pay Rate: Based on experience up to a maximum of $40 hourly
