Job summary

Emcon Services Inc. is seeking a 310T Certified Technician for our Ignace, Ontario division. The role involves annual safety inspections, repairs, and adherence to our preventative maintenance program on trucks, trailers, and equipment, as assigned by the leadhand/mechanical superintendent.

We welcome 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians and 3rd year apprentices into our development programs. Valid Ontario driver’s license and driving portal registration are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T) required or comparable credentials.
• 3rd year apprentices welcome for development program; DriveOn portal registration.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and knowledge of PM programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual safety inspections on fleet vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Perform repairs and follow preventative maintenance program as directed by leadhand/Mechanical Superintendent.
• Capable of overtime and responding to breakdown calls as needed.

We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Ignace, Ontario division.We welcome and encourage applications from 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians, as well as 3rd year apprentices, as we have apprenticeship developmental programs in place.

This position is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections, performing repairs and following our preventative maintenance program on our current fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment. Duties assigned by leadhand/Mechanical Superintendent.

Qualifications include:

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T);
• 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technician license considered an asset;
• 3rd year apprentices are welcome for our developmental program;
• Registered for DriveOn portal;
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence;
• Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs;
• Knowledge and experience in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics and repair;
• Knowledge and experience in heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering;
• Knowledge and experience on Bosch Rexroth salt management system;
• Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding considered an asset;
• Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety;
• Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
• Capable of working overtime as required
• Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown

Pay Rate: Based on experience up to a maximum of $40 hourly
