Job summary

Emcon Services Inc. is seeking a 310T Certified Technician for our Chatham, Ontario division to join our mechanical team. This role involves annual safety inspections, repairs, and adherence to our preventative maintenance program for trucks, trailers and equipment.

We welcome 3rd year apprentices and 310J license candidates as developmental opportunities exist. The position is unionized with wages per the collective agreement and an OT-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T) is required.
• 310J Truck–Trailer license is an asset.
• 3rd year apprentices are welcome for our developmental program.
• Registered for DriveOn portal and hold a valid Ontario driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and diagnostics essential.
• Experience with heavy-duty hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension and steering.
• Fabrication/welding experience is an asset; safety training is expected.
• Capable of overtime and responding to vehicle breakdowns as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual safety inspections and routine repairs.
• Follow our preventative maintenance program for trucks, trailers and equipment.
• Duties assigned by Lead-Hand/Mechanical Superintendent.

We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Chatham, Ontario division.We welcome and encourage applications from 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians, as well as 3rd year apprentices, as we have apprenticeship developmental programs in place.

This position is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections, performing repairs and following our preventative maintenance program on our current fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment. Duties assigned by Lead-Hand/Mechanical Superintendent.

• Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
• Capable of working overtime as required
• Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown

This role is a unionized position with wages and benefits as outlined by the collective agreement. Pay Rate: Based on experience up to a maximum of $43 hourly
