Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a fully licensed Heavy Duty Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, trailer alignments, and related service at our Sudbury, ON location. You will mentor apprentices, collaborate with a skilled team, and drive safety and quality in all tasks.

The role offers a clear path to Lead Technician, a structured schedule, and opportunities to advance within a Canadian tire service leader with extensive national presence.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed as a Heavy Duty Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.
• Experienced in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles.
• Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
