Job summary

Ronin Concrete Inc. is seeking a motivated 2nd Year Apprentice Carpenter to join our Saskatchewan construction team.

You will assist journeymen with concrete formwork and carpentry tasks, preparing materials and maintaining a safe, organized work area on diverse projects. Ideal candidates are progressing toward certification, comfortable outdoors in varying weather, and eager to develop carpentry skills while upholding safety standards and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Registered 2nd Year Carpenter Apprentice progressing toward certification.
  • Previous construction or concrete formwork experience is an asset.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of lifting materials, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, kneeling, and working at heights.
  • Basic construction math and measuring skills.
  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow direction and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • WHMIS safety certification required; additional safety tickets are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist journeymen with concrete formwork and general carpentry tasks.
  • Prepare, measure, and cut materials according to project requirements.
  • Support construction activities including layout, assembly, installation, and dismantling of temporary structures and formwork.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools as needed.
  • Perform routine tool and equipment checks.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, site rules, and PPE requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.
