Job summary

Jardeg is looking for a Carpenter Apprentice to work in Saskatoon, SK. The apprentice will be responsible for building forms for concrete, shaping materials, and following safety compliance procedures. Candidates must be Registered Carpenter Apprentices, or provide proof of relevant trade hours.

Experience with concrete formwork is essential, along with CSTS and WHMIS certifications. Local accommodations are only available, ensuring a community-focused work environment.

Project Details

• Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off (possibility of afternoons, evenings, and weekends)

Responsibilities

• Build forms for concrete
• Cut, shape, and join
• Look for and fix deficiencies
• Build hoarding and other temporary structures
• Check accuracy of work and make adjustments as required
• Study blueprints for work planning
• Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or take appropriate measures
• General site upkeep

Minimum Requirements

• Preference given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
• Non‑ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
• Experience with concrete formwork required
• Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
• Skid‑steer and zoom‑boom certifications are an asset
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
