Job summary

JARDEG CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LTD. in Regina, SK is seeking carpenter apprentices of all levels for future opportunities with the Technical Workforce Inc. team on the Regina Specialized Long Term Care project.

The position offers a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule and may include afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Responsibilities include building forms for concrete, erecting scaffolding, reviewing blueprints, and coordinating safety on site.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
• Experience with concrete formwork required.
• Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS.
• Fall Protection is an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build forms for concrete.
• Cut, shape, and join.
• Look for and fix deficiencies.
• Building of hoarding and other temporary structures.
• Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required.
• Study blueprints for work planning.
• Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Inform supervisor of abnormalities or defects and take appropriate measures.
• General site upkeep.
