Job summary

JARDEG CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LTD. in Saskatoon is seeking Carpenter Apprentices to join the Technical Workforce team on the VIDO project.

The role involves building concrete forms, cutting, shaping, joining, and ensuring structural accuracy across site operations. Ideal candidates have concrete formwork experience, CSTS/WHMIS certifications, and a willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Preference for registered carpenter apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to industrial carpentry.
  • Experience with concrete formwork required.
  • Certifications CSTS & WHMIS required.
  • Skid steer and Zoom Boom certifications are an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Build forms for concrete.
  • Cut, shape, and join materials.
  • Look for and fix deficiencies.
  • Build hoarding and other temporary structures.
  • Check accuracy of work and make adjustments.
  • Study blueprints for work planning.
  • Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Inform supervisor of abnormalities or defects and take appropriate measures.
  • General site upkeep.

Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Apprentices to join the Technical Workforce Inc. team at the VIDO project in Saskatoon, Sk!

This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will:
  • Build forms for concrete
  • Cut, shape, and join
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
  • Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Study blueprints for work planning
  • Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
  • General site upkeep
Minimum Requirements:
  • Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Experience with concrete formwork required
  • Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
