Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS) is seeking an EarlyON Worker in Timmins to implement and deliver community-based programming for infants, children, youths, families and caregivers. The role includes promoting services and delivering both in-person and virtual programs as required.

Ideal candidates hold an ECE or CYW diploma (or related experience), have strong group facilitation and interpersonal skills, and possess a G2 license with access to a vehicle.

Job description

Casual Position in Timmins

As a member of the EarlyON team, the successful candidate will be required to implement and deliver community-based programming to infants, children, youths, families and caregivers participating in the EarlyON program. Programs will be provided in-person and virtually, as required. The EarlyON Worker will promote the services of the Agency and to the programs to the participants and general public.

Job Requirements (qualifications And Skills)

• An Early Childhood Education Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or related qualifications and experience in Human Services.
• Knowledge and understanding of child development, child management, parenting styles, early nutritional needs, parent education tools and resources.
• Excellent group facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
• Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver's license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver’s license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle.
