Job summary

Kids & Company is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Inclusion Support Educator to provide individualized support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role emphasizes fostering independence, positive relationships, and inclusive learning within the classroom setting.

The position requires Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification and experience with ASD. You will collaborate with families, centre staff, and outside professionals, with the school-aged schedule and PD day coverage as part

• Ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD within the classroom.
• Implement individualized strategies to promote participation and independence.
• Support social, emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with families, centre staff, and outside professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records.
• Support transitions and consistency in routines.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Complete attendance records and health and safety checks.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.
