Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students with exceptional needs, including autism, within a school setting. This 50% term position runs 17.5 hours per week (8:45–12:15) under the direction of the Principal, with responsibilities across classroom support, inclusive programming and collaboration with staff.

Experience with developmental disabilities, assistive technology, crisis intervention, and adapting materials is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder or related developmental needs.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and educational software is an asset.
• Ability to observe, record and chart behaviour data; maintain confidentiality.
