Job summary

1st Class is seeking a Support Aide to provide dedicated one-on-one care to children, aligning with curriculum goals and program policies in Alberta. The role involves supervising activities, supporting inclusion, and collaborating with parents and staff to create a safe, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include implementing daily schedules, assisting with materials, and ensuring child confidentiality while fostering development and inclusion for children with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 1 - Early Childhood Educator Certificate (or be able to complete within 2 months of hire).
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available for all hours that the program is open and be available to cover shifts within the program.
• Must have up-to-date Police Clearance (or be able to complete immediately upon hire).
• Must have a valid CPR and First Aid Certificate (or be able to complete upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care and support to children with additional needs.
• Assist with planning and implementing activities per curriculum.
• Maintain positive communication with parents.
• Supervise children in classroom and hallways ensuring safety.
• Prepare materials and assist the Support Director as required.
