Downtown Engineers (DWT ENG) is a fast-growing, New York-based, MEPengineering firm thathas completed over 300 projects and designed more than 3 million square feet of built space in NY.
We’re hiring a Brazil-based, remote professional to own and scale our QAQC design process so every project consistently meets our standards as we grow.
This role is not about line-by-line reviewing design deliverables. Instead, you will ensure the design process is executed correctly and that all quality-check steps are completed on 100% of projects, minimizing design errors, communication breakdowns, and rework.

Own the QAQC process end-to-end across MEP projects : define, implement, and continuously improve checklists, stage gates, and “definition of done” criteria.
Guarantee compliance : ensure all required quality checks are completed (with traceability) on every project—no exceptions.
Standardize workflows : templates, file organization, naming conventions, coordination routines, handoff requirements, and internal documentation.
Improve communication and handoffs : reduce information loss between teams, disciplines, and stakeholders.
Track quality metrics : build dashboards and weekly reporting around nonconformities, rework drivers, cycle time, recurring errors, and process adherence.
Root-cause and prevention : investigate failures, implement corrective actions, and ensure improvements stick.
