Metrocon seeks a seasoned Safety Officer to partner with project leadership in implementing robust WSH programs across operations in the Região Norte. You will lead safety team activities, drive incident investigations, and ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.

The role requires a degree in EHS, MOM NEA registrations, and strong interpersonal skills to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Engineering or equivalent degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• 3+ years as MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
• 5+ years as NEA Registered Environmental Control Officer.
• Energetic, self-driven, results-oriented.
• Strong technical skills and interpersonal abilities to enhance team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop strategies and guidance on accident prevention, safe work practices, and compliance with legal safety and health requirements.
• Implement and oversee Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) initiatives and programs.
• Monitor and ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and regulations by all onsite workers.
• Lead workplace WSH communications and effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
• Identify potential gaps/hazards and collaborate with stakeholders to discuss and implement preventive and corrective actions.
• Organize safety committee meetings, conduct safety audits for management reports.
• Conduct safety training and drills to maintain high safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Lead and manage a team of safety personnel, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Maintain meticulous safety documentation for compliance and reporting.

Engineering (Environmental, Health, Safety) degree

• Conduct safety training and drills to maintain high safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement effective measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Lead and manage a team of safety personnel, fostering a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement across all operations.
• Maintain and uphold meticulous safety documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate effective safety management practices.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by reporting officer.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Health, Safety) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years as a MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer.
• At least 5 years as a NEA Registered Environmental Control Officer.
• Qualified candidates should be energetic, self-driven, and possessing a results-driven attitude.
• Possess strong technical skills, and outstanding interpersonal abilities to enhance team collaboration.
