Job summary

City Energy Pte. Ltd. is seeking a field technician to respond to gas incidents and abnormalities, conduct site investigations, and coordinate with authorities.

The role includes meter-related tasks, customer service requests, and service recoveries, with emphasis on working both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should have related Nitec qualifications, plumbing certification preferred, and a valid Class 3 driving license.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec / Nitec in Mechanical or any Engineering discipline.
• Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting is preferred.
• Relevant experience in gas, plumbing, sanitary or electrical systems will be an advantage.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license (access to own transport is preferred).

Responsibilities

• Attend to reported gas incidents and gas supply abnormalities (gas fires, poor pressure, suspected leaks).
• Perform site investigations and rectification work with coordination with authorities and external agencies; submit reports.
• Investigate and report abnormalities related to meter readings.
• Manage meter cut-off and overdue accounts handling.
• Respond to customer service requests (install/ replace/ troubleshoot gas appliances, service gas stoves, conduct tests).
• Handle customer enquiries/ feedback and service recoveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Attend to reported gas incidents and gas supply abnormalities such as gas fires, poor gas supply pressure, suspected gas leaks, etc.
• Perform site investigations and rectification work inclusive of co-ordination work with the relevant authorities (e.g. SPPG, SCDF, HDB, EMA) and other external agencies and submission of reports.
• Investigate and report on abnormalities related to meter readings.
• Manage meter cut-off and handle matters related to overdue account.
• Respond to customer service requests, such as installing/ replacing/ troubleshooting gas appliances, servicing gas stoves, conducting soundness tests on gas installations, etc.
• Handle customers’ enquiries/ feedback and service recoveries.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

About you

• Higher Nitec / Nitec in Mechanical or any Engineering discipline.

• Certificate in Plumbing and Pipefitting is preferred.
