We are actively seeking a Technical Writer, Information Security.

This is a remote position, however, if you are located within 80,5km of Rimini’s São Paulo Corporate Office then this position allows for Hybrid Work Option.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Rimini Protect Security Services, you will partner with internal stakeholders and research external sources to generate internal and client facing reports and collateral. Additionally, the Security Architect researches best practices in Information Security, Active Exploits, Proof of Concepts, vulnerability mitigation, compensating controls, and writing methodology so that they can improve the maturity of new and existing reports and collateral.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the generation of Security Vulnerability Analysis Reports (SVAR), Proof of Concept exploits of known vulnerabilities as well as creating one-off report collateral for clients, prospects, and internal teams
• Review Active Exploits and New Proof of Concepts to generate reports for early warning reports that affect our customers.
• Develop a plan and method to generate reports for SAP and Oracle SVAR in a manner where we are independent of the Oracle CPU, SAP Notes Day, IBM or VMware reporting cycles.
• Work on report automation with Rimini Protect teams in developing the SVAR Repository and dashboard
• Research and work with internal stakeholders to determine current and future reporting program requirements
• Research best practices around new writing and reporting methods, delivery processes, and tools
• Partner with subject matter experts to understand vulnerabilities and corresponding documentation requirements
• Work with additional Tech Writers (as a Lead Engineer) in order to generate comprehensive vulnerability analysis reports with mitigation guidelines and strategies under strict deadlines
• Work with Tech Writer team to document and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, and proposals
• Organize all material for conciseness, style, and consistent terminology while following the Rimini Street collateral generation guidelines
• Maintain records and files of technical work
• Generate concise, professional status reports as requested

Education

Bachelor in Computer Science with emphasis on Cyber Security, Technical Writing, or another applicable field.
