This opportunity is ideal for a project leader who understands modern software delivery and can promote a culture of collaboration, automation, security, and shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud, automation, and modernisation projects;
- Plan and coordinate the implementation and evolution of CI/CD pipelines;
- Support cloud-adoption, Infrastructure as Code, and development-platform modernisation initiatives;
- Promote security throughout the software development lifecycle;
- Coordinate Development, Architecture, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Business teams;
- Define and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and success criteria;
- Identify and manage risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies;
- Lead governance forums and provide clear executive updates;
- Monitor indicators related to delivery, efficiency, quality, security, and predictability;
- Align business objectives, security requirements, and technology priorities;
- Support Security by Design, security automation, vulnerability management, and secure software delivery;
- Promote compliance with corporate policies and technology, risk, and security controls;
- Facilitate decisions and elevate critical issues when necessary;
- Coordinate vendors, partners, and distributed teams when applicable;
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, tools, and practices.
Essential Requirements
- Experience leading DevOps or DevSecOps projects in corporate environments;
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern software-delivery practices;
- Experience implementing, evolving, or governing CI/CD pipelines;
- Familiarity with cloud adoption, automation, or technology-modernisation initiatives;
- Working knowledge of Secure SDLC, Security by Design, Application Security, or vulnerability management;
- Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Microsoft Azure;
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation;
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical and business teams;
- Experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies;
- Experience with project governance, executive reporting, and delivery indicators;
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe;
- Fluent English at C2 level;
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Relevant Technology Exposure
Candidates are not expected to be hands-on experts in every tool, but familiarity with some of the following is valuable:
- Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins;
- Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code solution;
- Kubernetes and Docker;
- AWS or Microsoft Azure;
- SAST, DAST, vulnerability-management, or application-security tools.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in Financial Services or another highly regulated industry;
- Background in banking, fintech, insurance, Wealth Management, or Asset Management;
- Participation in large digital-transformation or platform-modernisation programmes;
- Deeper knowledge of AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CI/CD platforms;
- Experience with security governance, technology risk, or regulatory requirements;
- Experience defining and monitoring DevOps or DevSecOps metrics;
- Vendor or technology-partner management experience;
- Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP;
- Certification in cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, or information security.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior technology project leader who understands both delivery management and the principles behind DevSecOps.
You are likely to succeed in this role if you:
- Translate business and security objectives into clear delivery plans;
- Understand CI/CD, cloud, automation, and secure software delivery well enough to guide complex initiatives;
- Bring structure to programmes involving many technical teams and stakeholders;
- Identify risks, dependencies, and security concerns early;
- Communicate clearly with engineers, security professionals, business teams, and executives;
- Promote collaboration rather than treating security as a final delivery gate;

- Balance delivery speed with security, governance, and operational resilience;
- Encourage continuous improvement and shared accountability.
