Job summary

BDO Singapore is seeking a GST Specialist to assist clients with GST returns, registrations, health checks, and advisory services. You will work with engagement teams to ensure accurate filings and timely delivery, while developing solutions for complex GST transactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Singapore GST legislation and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with review and e-file of GST returns, simplified GST returns and Statement of Claims.
• Assist clients with GST health checks such as ASK and ACAP.
• Assist clients with GST registration applications, exemptions and schemes.
• Assist clients in managing tax queries and audits.
• Provide advisory services to clients on complex GST transactions.
• Provide support to engagement manager and collaborate with team members to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Leverage technology to digitalize and automate GST processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor and guide juniors or associates, delegating tasks and supervising their work as a Senior.

Job Descriptions:

• Assist clients with the review and e-file of GST returns, simplified GST returns and Statement of Claims

• Assist clients with GST health checks such as Assisted Self-Help Kit (ASK) and Assisted Compliance Assurance Program (ACAP)

• Assist clients with the application for GST registration, exemption from GST registration, GST remission and schemes

• Assist clients in managing tax queries and audits

• Provide advisory services to clients on complex GST transactions

• Provide support to engagement manager and work closely with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

• Contribute to efforts and take an active role in leveraging technology to digitalize and automate GST processes, improving efficiency and accuracy

• Ability to mentor and guide juniors or associates, delegating tasks and overseeing their work in a team as a Senior

Requirements:

• - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as SCTP, ACCA, CPA, CA are preferred.
• - Basic knowledge of Singapore GST legislation and regulations
