Job summary

Baker Tilly Singapore is seeking a motivated intern to support our tax teams in Brazil. You will assist with income tax returns, reviews, and e-filing, while helping fulfill advisory needs on business transactions and cross-border matters.

The role includes tax structuring, due diligence in M&A situations, handling IRAS queries, and fostering client relationships across the Baker Tilly network. You will gain exposure to tax projects, participate in seminars and develop marketing collaterals,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
• Relevant internship experience in audit, tax or advisory is advantageous.

Job Description

Support the Partner and Manager teams in servicing clients in relation to their tax needs in income tax. Our income tax services include:

• Assist clients with the preparation, review and e-filing of the income tax returns (and organizing the necessary information request flows, documentation and research needs)
• Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs in relation to their business transactions (e.g., new business arrangements, crossborder transactions)
• Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs on tax structuring matters and conducting income tax due diligence reviews (typically in M&A situations)
• Assist clients in managing IRAS queries/audits
• Assist clients in seeking income tax rulings/clarifications from IRAS
• Develop strong relationships with our clients and with our colleagues, both internally and across the Baker Tilly International Network
• Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects.
• Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts and business development collaterals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or other business-related fields
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
