Job summary

ARQ is seeking a data-driven operator to work with founders and cross-functional teams in São Paulo. You will turn ambitious business ideas into prioritized, measurable initiatives and scale operations using AI and automation where it matters.

You will own growth initiatives, analyze unit economics, and drive speed and efficiency across product, engineering, operations, and finance. You will collaborate with external partners when needed to execute on shared priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience thriving in demanding environments (e.g., MBB, high-growth startups, large-scale businesses).
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Proven track record of delivering outcomes and following through from recommendation to implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, translating complexity into clarity for teams and executives.
• Bias to action with comfort in ambiguity and ability to iterate quickly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities without losing momentum.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic and operational initiatives end to end, from defining the problem and building the business case to execution and measuring results.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve unit economics, and increase operational efficiency.
• Turn complex data, customer insights, and market research into clear recommendations and implement them.
• Build and scale processes, tools, and workflows that enable ARQ to move faster, employing AI and automation where meaningful.
• Define and track success metrics, spot issues early, and drive improvements across the business.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, finance, and compliance to unblock decisions and deliver on shared priorities.
• Lead partnerships with external providers (banks, processors, etc.) when relevant to projects.

The role

You’ll own some of ARQ’s most important business challenges, from figuring out where to grow next to making our operations work better at scale. You’ll combine sharp analytical thinking with hands-on execution, working directly with founders and teams across the business to turn ambiguous problems into clear priorities and measurable results.

What you'll be doing

What you'll need

• Previous experience thriving somewhere demanding, like MBB, a high-growth startup, or a business operating at significant scale.

• Strong analytical skills. You can structure ambiguous problems, work confidently with data, and connect your analysis to business decisions.

• A track record of getting things done. You take ownership of outcomes and follow through from recommendation to implementation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication. You translate complexity into clarity for frontline teams and executives.

• A bias to action and comfort with ambiguity. You might not always have all the answers, but you know how to find them and iterate quickly.

• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities without losing momentum.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in fintech, payments, or a highly regulated consumer business.

• Experience at a high-growth startup from early to scale stage.

• Experience launching or scaling businesses in Latin America.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience using AI or automation to improve business processes.

• Spanish or Portuguese language skills.
