Jobtailor is seeking a senior backend engineer to own and evolve microservices and APIs in a high-volume data environment. You will design efficient MongoDB indexes, implement RESTful services with Swagger/OpenAPI, and collaborate across teams in a regulated Open Insurance context within the AWS ecosystem.

The role emphasizes low-latency APIs, robust observability, and strict SLA adherence across a large portfolio of applications and services.

Qualificações

• Degree in Technology or related fields
• Expertise in MongoDB Atlas and query optimization in high-volume data
• RESTful API design using Swagger/OpenAPI and low-latency implementations
• Experience with Git version control and AWS cloud services
• Ability to ensure database efficiency at very large scale and meet strict SLAs

• Perform governance and collaborate across Porto and other areas

• Work with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines in AWS
• Apply observability practices with logs, metrics, and traces
• Conduct technical alignments with involved teams

• Design, document, and propose API contracts using Swagger/OpenAPI and JSON
• Manage the code lifecycle using Git
• Work with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation in the AWS ecosystem
• Apply observability practices, including logs, metrics, and traces
• Conduct technical alignments with other involved teams

Requirements

• Degree in Technology or related fields
• Advanced experience with MongoDB (MongoDB Atlas)
• Expertise in query optimization, creating and maintaining strategic indexes, and understanding performance in high-volume data scenarios
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and messaging using RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in building low-latency RESTful APIs and defining contracts via Swagger/OpenAPI
• Knowledge of code versioning with Git
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environment
• Familiarity with observability tools
• Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to ensure database efficiency at very large scale
• Ability to develop solutions for aggressive response-time SLAs
• Ability to support an environment of approximately 130 applications/microservices
• Ability to deliver features within strict regulatory deadlines
• Ability to define and uphold API contracts consumed by multiple teams
