Jobtailor Brazil is seeking a backend engineer to develop and maintain Java 21 / Spring Boot services with a strong focus on quality, performance and test coverage.

You will work in Kubernetes-based environments, deploy to Azure/AWS, implement REST APIs and asynchronous integrations, and contribute to AI-assisted workflows shaping the team’s maturity. Observability with Datadog/OpenTelemetry is essential.

Qualificações

Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot; hands-on knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, and relational/NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud (Azure or AWS), CI/CD, and observability tools.
Good practices in automated testing, clean code, and version control (Git).
Plus: experience in payments and using AI tools in development.
Plus: knowledge of React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Responsabilidades

Develop and maintain backend services in Java 21 / Spring Boot with emphasis on quality, performance, and test coverage.
Write clean, testable, and secure code; participate in code reviews to raise team standards.
Support operations by investigating incidents, performing postmortems, and improving resilience.
Adopt AI-assisted workflows in day-to-day development to enhance team maturity.
Implement and consume REST APIs and asynchronous integrations.
Work in containerized environments (Kubernetes), with cloud deployments (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD practices.
Ensure observability of services using Datadog/OpenTelemetry (logs, metrics, traces).
Collaborate in requirements refinement, estimations, and solution design.
