Jobtailor in São Paulo is seeking a backend software engineer focused on Java and Spring Boot to design and implement scalable REST APIs, write maintainable, secure code, and contribute to architecture decisions.

You will collaborate with teammates, optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL), and leverage cloud platforms and messaging systems (RabbitMQ or Kafka), applying test-driven development and an Agile mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Participate directly in defining architecture and code design.
• Be responsible for backend application development, writing maintainable, reusable, clean and secure code (quality).
• Provide support to other team members/developers.
• Develop REST APIs using Spring Boot with proper HTTP verbs and status codes.
• Work with PostgreSQL and ORM (JPA2, Hibernate, JDBC Template).
• Identify bugs, bottlenecks and other issues, and design fixes (security and performance).
• Analyze risks and impacts when developing features or maintaining systems.

• Participate directly in defining architecture and code design;
• Be responsible for backend application development, writing maintainable, reusable, clean and secure code (quality);
• Provide support to other team members/developers;
• Advanced and proper use of Spring Boot and its modules (e.g., Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Web);
• Proper development of REST APIs using Spring Boot (full mastery of HTTP verbs and status codes);
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL technologies and ORMs (JPA2, Hibernate, JDBC Template) — PostgreSQL;
