Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil, is seeking an experienced IT operations specialist to monitor and manage alerts on Micro Focus platforms and Core Banking applications. You will perform end-to-end incident analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and engage with development, database, middleware, and infrastructure teams to resolve problems.

The role requires COBOL and JCL skills, strong Linux knowledge, and experience with ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management.

Qualificações

• Experience supporting Micro Focus platforms and core banking applications.
• Proficient in COBOL (reading/maintenance) and JCL.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, including troubleshooting, process management and log analysis.
• Experience with ITIL incident, problem and change management.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and manage alerts on Micro Focus platforms and core banking applications.
• Perform end-to-end incident analysis and resolution across production and non-production environments.
• Analyze logs, traces and application behavior to identify root causes.
• Provide operational support and execute changes using established procedures.
• Manage events and alerts using observability tools and collaborate with development, database, middleware and infrastructure teams.
• Document incidents, solutions and procedures in runbooks or knowledge bases.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and stabilization in critical environments.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure safe, reliable production operations.
• Maintain incident records and contribute to post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing alerts on Micro Focus platforms and Core Banking applications.

Requirements

• Micro Focus / Core Banking environment: Experience supporting and operating Micro Focus platforms; experience in mainframe modernization environments (Gravity).
• Languages and components: COBOL (reading and maintenance); JCL.
• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux (troubleshooting, process management and log analysis).
• Middleware and Integration: Messaging platforms (MQ or other integration technologies).
• Process Control: Scheduling tools (Control‑M or similar).
• Observability and Monitoring: Dynatrace; Grafana; Prometheus.
• IT Service Management: ServiceNow; ITIL – incident, problem and change management.
• Desirable: Tools such as Sonar.
• Experience in IT operations, infrastructure support or platform administration.
• Experience in critical, high‑availability environments.
• Experience managing incidents and alerts in production environments.
