Job Summary
Join a growing team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management, contract administration, and project cost optimization for diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation to support project bidding and execution
- Administer contracts by managing variations, interim payments, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial control
- Monitor project progress and deliver timely, accurate cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and negotiate terms to optimize project costs and quality
- Ensure all contractual and legal obligations are met throughout project lifecycles
- Conduct value engineering and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate project risks
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors to develop team capabilities (Senior role only)
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Senior Quantity Surveyor position
- Proven ability to perform pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties with accuracy and commercial insight
- Proficiency in MS Excel for cost analysis and reporting
