Job Description
- Responsible for project success, owning project scope, and ensuring BI product adoption and delivery of expected business outcomes.
- Define and update agile product roadmaps, rollouts, continuous improvement plans, and deployments in line with global BI strategy.
- Support product support structures and drive adoption among traders, removing roadblocks to embed BI solutions into business processes.
- Build strong relationships with business partners and IT colleagues to achieve success as a team.
- Own project delivery, including resource needs and financials, to provide new decision-support products on time, within budget, and aligned with outcomes.
- Gather and translate business requirements into detailed specifications and manage change requests.
- Document product deliverables and reference materials.
- Follow issues and risks, escalate when necessary, and propose mitigation plans.
- Identify dependencies across projects and proactively mitigate risks.
- Provide management with timely status reports on projects and scope.
- Assist business partners in integrating requirements into processes and generating outcomes.
- Collaborate with application owners and external partners to develop/support BI products.
- Support testing phases and organize training sessions.
- Learn core BI technologies and proficiently build reports and analytics applications from data.
Experience
- 5+ years in a business analyst role within IT project implementations.
- Proven project management experience across at least two project lifecycles.
- Experience in commodities trading domain or middle office/controlling processes is a plus.
- Experience in KPI definition and visual analytics storytelling is a plus.
- Client-facing experience is desirable.
- IT consulting and hands-on experience are advantageous.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of front-end and data visualization tools (Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau).
- Experience with data structure design, ETL, data warehousing, and data modeling (SAP BW/HANA/BODS, MSSQL, Azure).
- Business rules coding, scripting, and BI architecture knowledge are pluses.
