Position overview

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with experience in the travel industry (air ticket sales, post-ticketing operations, reconciliation) and integration projects to join our team. This role involves working closely with stakeholders and suppliers to define and analyze integration requirements, optimize existing integrations, and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.

You will be responsible for handling travel content integrations, analyzing technical documentation, and overseeing integrations throughout the SDLC. As part of the team, you will drive data-backed decision-making, foster collaboration between teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, integrated travel solutions.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, model, and manage travel content integration requirements (primarily flights) throughout the full project lifecycle
• Prepare requirements documentation (functional, non-functional, system, business rules, etc.) and maintain the product knowledge base. Required formats include user stories with acceptance criteria in BDD/Gherkin format and use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, technical, and product stakeholders, to understand and document integration touchpoints across various travel systems (e.g., booking systems, payment gateways, back-office systems)
• Lead stakeholder communication, ensuring effective expectation management, active involvement, and feedback throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct requirement discovery for travel content integration initiatives within projects, ensuring the inclusion of technical aspects (such as communication protocols, API documentation, payload analysis, data mapping, etc.) in the requirements specification
• Ensure that edge cases and error handling are well-documented, contributing to the robustness of the integration solution
• Support the Agile process by working with development teams and product owners to ensure smooth delivery
• Ensure that integrations meet industry standards, internal processes, and regulations specific to the travel industry

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on integrations within the travel industry
• Proven experience working with travel content distribution systems such as reservation systems, booking engines, and back-office systems
• Expertise in documenting API interactions, data flows, and integration points between systems
• Deep understanding of the air ticket sales process, including post-ticketing operations
• Familiarity with industry standards and protocols (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), and foundational knowledge of NDC, EDIFACT, and order management processes
• Strong understanding of integration tools and technologies (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, Postman)
• Experience with business process mapping, risk assessment, and requirements management in the context of integration projects
• Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria using BDD/Gherkin syntax
• Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex integration requirements into clear documentation
• Ability to manage and document edge cases and error handling for integration scenarios
