Position Overview: We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with Golang experience. This remote position involves managing various backend platform areas, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners. As part of our User Tribe, you will help make it easier for users to access Rain and develop products that maintain positive cash availability.

Responsibilities:

1. Translate product requirements into technical solutions, recommend approaches, and lead engineering efforts.
2. Design and implement reliable systems within a distributed micro-services architecture.
3. Build and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and partners.
4. Design and implement highly available RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
5. Create reusable code and libraries to foster collaboration and scalability.
6. Enforce observability best practices using logging, metrics, and alerting systems.
7. Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
8. Monitor systems for performance and scalability improvements.
9. Collaborate effectively across teams to align priorities and requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficient in back-end languages such as Go, Java, Python, or C++.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD frameworks.
• Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Flink.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.
