We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer with Golang experience.
This position is remote.
The candidate will manage various areas of our backend platform, including API integrations with 3rd-party vendors and partners.
As a Backend Engineer with our User Tribe, you will play a central role in making it easier for users to access Rain and build products that help users maintain positive cash availability.
You will work with our international product and engineering teams to manage a robust digital wallet that enables seamless user transactions and employer linking.
Our ideal candidate is excited to tackle tough technical challenges and contribute to our strategic thinking.
Responsibilities include: translating product requirements into technical solutions, designing reliable systems in a microservices architecture, building and maintaining integrations, designing RESTful APIs, creating reusable code, enforcing observability, documenting solutions, monitoring system performance, and collaborating across teams.
Skills and qualifications: 5+ years of software development experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, proficiency in back-end languages (Go, Java, Python, C++), experience with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, scalable distributed systems, cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and agile methodologies.
