Jobtailor in Brazil is seeking a results-focused Scrum Master to guide agile ceremonies and remove blockers in a hybrid work setting.

You will partner with the Product Owner, track key metrics, and promote transparency, discipline, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate agile ceremonies (Daily, Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective, Refinement), ensuring objectivity, timeboxing, and focus on results.
• Remove impediments of medium complexity, acting as the team's point of support to unblock dependencies and reduce blockers.
• Support the team in adopting and continuously improving agile practices, promoting operational discipline, transparency, and inspection/adaptation.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner in organizing and refining the backlog, assisting in defining Sprint goals and clarifying priorities.
• Maintain and track basic team performance metrics, supporting analyses and improvement plans (e.g.: throughput, lead time/cycle time, predictability, burndown/burnup).
• Foster a healthy, collaborative environment, encouraging autonomy, accountability, and effective communication among team members.
• Operate with strong autonomy, managing the day-to-day use of the framework and escalating risks when necessary with objectivity and data.
• Support alignment between areas and stakeholders, facilitating communication and reducing misunderstandings about deliveries and expectations.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Scrum and Agile fundamentals (values, principles, and practices).
• Strong facilitation and group leadership skills, with effective communication, negotiation, and conflict management.
• Experience managing impediments, dependencies, and risks in agile teams.
• Ability to work with basic agile metrics and generate practical insights to improve team performance.
• Organized, results‑oriented profile with a collaborative approach toward the PO and stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously in teams with hybrid dynamics (business/technology) and multiple interlocutors.
• Agile frameworks and practices: Scrum (required), Kanban (preferred), Lean concepts (preferred).
• Facilitation and ceremony dynamics: planning, review, retrospective, refinement, basic discovery.
• Agile metrics and indicators: burndown/burnup, throughput, lead time, cycle time, WIP, predictability, velocity (when applicable).
• Flow and capacity management: WIP limits, queue management, prioritization, and team capacity planning.
• Tools (depending on context): Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, Miro/Mural, Microsoft Teams (or equivalents).
• Delivery best practices: Definition of Done (DoD), acceptance criteria, story slicing, dependency management.
• Practical experience working as a Scrum Master (or equivalent role) in product/project delivery teams.
• Consistent experience in:
  • Running ceremonies and maintaining work cadence;
  • Supporting the PO with backlog (refinement, prioritization, and item clarity);
  • Removing/managing impediments and tracking risks;
  • Using metrics for continuous team improvement.
• Experience in environments with multiple stakeholders, inter‑team dependencies, and simultaneous demands.
