Job summary

WB PTE. LTD. is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to lead WSH initiatives on our construction sites. You will ensure compliance with MOM requirements and drive a culture of safety across project teams and occupiers.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, coordinating investigations, and reporting safety metrics. A Level C certification or a WSH degree is required, with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registration with the MOM as a WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer).
• Level C certification in WSH or a degree in WSH is required.

• Lead the implementation of WSH protocols on site according to legal requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
• Collaborate with occupiers and project teams to develop safety measures and prevent incidents.
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Respond to safety concerns and incidents, coordinating investigations and follow-up actions.
• Support the organization in fulfilling all WSH duties to uphold safe construction practices.
• Perform additional occupational safety tasks to support site safety objectives.

Job description

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions that mitigate risks on-site
• Collaborate with occupiers and project teams to develop and execute safety measures that prevent workplace incidents and promote a safe working environment
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in occupational safety and health standards
• Respond proactively to safety concerns and incidents, coordinating timely investigations and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
• Support the organization in fulfilling all operational WSH duties to uphold safe construction practices throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform additional occupational safety and health tasks as assigned to support overall site safety and compliance objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
• Level C certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or a Degree in WSH

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a WSH Officer, preferably in public infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player with diligence and responsibility
• Willingness to work beyond standard hours with compensatory time off as required
