Job summary

GLOBAL COATING PTE. LTD. seeks a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to lead WSH program implementation on construction sites, ensuring MOM compliance. You will perform inspections, coordinate corrective actions, and report safety performance for continuous improvement.

The role requires collaboration with occupiers and project teams, readiness for flexible hours, and dedication to maintaining a safe site throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Registration with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Level C certification in WSH or a Degree in WSH required.
• Experience in public infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of WSH protocols in compliance with MOM requirements on construction sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
• Collaborate with occupiers and project teams to develop safety measures and prevent incidents.
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate timely investigations and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Support the organization in fulfilling all operational WSH duties throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform additional occupational safety and health tasks as assigned.

Job description

• Lead the implementation of workplace safety and health (WSH) protocols in compliance with legal requirements to maintain safe construction sites
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions that mitigate risks on-site
• Collaborate with occupiers and project teams to develop and execute safety measures that prevent workplace incidents and promote a safe working environment
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in occupational safety and health standards
• Respond proactively to safety concerns and incidents, coordinating timely investigations and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence
• Support the organization in fulfilling all operational WSH duties to uphold safe construction practices throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform additional occupational safety and health tasks as assigned to support overall site safety and compliance objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
• Level C certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or a Degree in WSH

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a WSH Officer, preferably in public infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player with diligence and responsibility
• Willingness to work beyond standard hours with compensatory time off as required
