Private Advertiser is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineering Supervisor to oversee major construction activities on site in Brazil. The role requires strong oversight of civil and structural works, adherence to project drawings and safety regulations, and effective coordination with site teams.

The candidate will manage Resident Technical Officers, participate in safety reviews, and ensure uninterrupted client operations during construction and trial phases.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 3 years supervising major construction works such as deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, aircraft pavements, viaducts and expressways.
• Professional degree recognised by local engineering board and regulatory compliance.
• Registered as a Resident Engineer (RE) with IES, including tunnel RE accreditation.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the Contractor delivers high-quality work and maintains safety in line with statutory requirements.
• Attend all project meetings including site, progress, variation, coordination, QA/QC, etc.
• Provide ongoing supervision for civil and structural works ensuring compliance with project specs and drawings.
• Carry out supervision and inspection of civil & structural works.
• Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his charge.
• Coordinate with safety team and oversee WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and safe on-site practices.
• Ensure construction works do not affect client operations.
• Ensure client emergency preparedness protocols are followed during trials or emergencies.
• Adhere to the shift duty roster.
• Undertake additional duties including administrative tasks as instructed by the SRE, OIC, or Client.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure the Contractor is delivering high-quality work and maintaining good safety practices in accordance with statutory requirements.

• Attend all meetings related to the project including site, progress, variation, coordination, QAQC etc

• Provide ongoing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works as needed, ensuring compliance with the project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.

• Carry out supervision and inspection C&S works

• Manage and supervise the Resident Technical Officers under his charge.

• Coordinate with safety team and provide overview of WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and implementation of safe working practices on site.

• Ensure all construction works will not impact or affect the operations of the client.

• Ensure client’s emergency preparedness protocols are adhered to by the contractors during trial runs or actual emergencies.

• Adhere to the shift duty roster assigned.

• Undertake any other duties including administrative tasks related to the project as and when instructed by the SRE, OIC, or the Client.

Requirements:

• Min 5 years of civil engineering experience of which at least 3 years shall be in supervision of major construction works deep excavation, drainage, pipe jacking, ground improvement, flexible/rigid aircraft pavement, viaduct, road/expressway works, geotechnical and deep excavation works

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by PEB.

• Accredited as a RE with IES

• Accredited as a RE (Tunnel) with IES

• Able to perform shift work.
