Job summary

STAFFKING PTE LTD is seeking a procurement professional to handle daily purchasing of foam materials and related products. You will align with the Global Procurement Team, obtain supplier quotations, issue POs, and monitor deliveries in the Sage ERP system.

The role requires 2–3 years in procurement or supply chain, with strong communication and the ability to multitask and travel occasionally as needed. North region operations and company transport are provided.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, or supply chain.
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing activities for foam materials and related products.
• Work with Global Procurement Team to follow purchasing procedures.
• Get quotations from suppliers and compare prices.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on deliveries.
• Update purchase orders in the Sage ERP system.
• Monitor orders and follow up with suppliers on delays or issues.
• Check and resolve differences in prices, quantities, POs, and invoices.
• Monitor supplier performance, product quality, defects, and rejected materials.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure materials meet quality requirements.
• Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments.
• Monitor material costs, supplier prices, and market trends.
• Prepare regular purchasing and procurement reports.
• Look for ways to reduce costs and improve purchasing processes.
• Handle defective or non-conforming materials and follow up with suppliers for solutions.
• Attend supplier meetings, site visits, and industry events when required.
• Perform other procurement duties assigned by the Commodity Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant with min 2- 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, or supply chain.
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to handle multiple purchasing tasks and follow up with suppliers independently.
• Responsible, organised, and a good team player.
• Willing to travel occasionally when required.
