Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd's client, a leading medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Product Manufacturing Engineer to support design validation, engineering improvements and ongoing product development. You will assist with design verification, project costing, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize manufacturing processes.

Required: degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years' experience in product or process engineering within medical devices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product or process engineering within the medical device or a related industry.
• Experience in product design and knowledge of thermoplastic materials, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Proficient in CAD design, preferably SolidWorks, with knowledge of statistical methods and design verification techniques.
• Good understanding of product quality, design control and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support product design verification and validation to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage sustaining engineering projects, including project costing, progress monitoring and timely reporting of technical issues or deviations.
• Maintain design documentation, develop appropriate test methods and conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to address product performance, quality and shelf-life requirements.
• Provide technical support for existing products, including customer complaints, regulatory compliance, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement product enhancements, optimise manufacturing processes, reduce costs and evaluate new materials and technologies.
