The role requires hands-on leadership, strategic alignment with global procurement processes, and a focus on continuous improvement to deliver value to customers and the business.

Qualificações

  • Lead, coach, and mentor PPV Buyers to achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Ensure Buyers understand and follow procurement processes and SOPs, with training and ongoing support.
  • Allocate resources and review workload distribution to maximize productivity and meet customer requirements.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions and development plans.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting on team performance, supplier utilization, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Lead by example and participate in departmental activities during peak demand.

We are looking for a dynamic PPV Team Lead to become a vital part of our vibrant Global Purchasing Team, working in the EMEA region. Join the energy and come, be part of the momentum!

The PPV Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support of the Strategic Purchasing team, ensuring Buyers execute procurement activities efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with Global Procurement Processes and company objectives. Reporting directly to the Senior Purchasing Manager, this role serves as the operational link between strategic direction and execution by actively managing Buyers’ workloads, monitoring performance, removing obstacles, and driving continuous improvement.

The PPV Team Lead works closely with Sales, PPV Coordinator, Regional and Global Supply Chain Managers and Supplier partners to ensure customer inquiries are addressed correctly and in timely manner, strategic company goals are met through utilization of the right supply chains, supplier relationships are maintained and developed, purchase orders are managed effectively, cost savings are achieved and customer commitments are fulfilled. This position requires a hands‑on leader with a “lead by example” mentality who is willing to work alongside Buyers to resolve challenges and maintain operational excellence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Senior Purchasing Manager to build, develop, and manage a high-performing Regional Strategic PPV Team aligned with company objectives and growth strategy.
  • Actively support the Senior Purchasing Manager in the daily management and coordination of Buyers’ workloads and priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor PPV Buyers to achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Ensure Buyers understand and consistently follow established procurement processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures, receive adequate training, coaching, and ongoing support to perform their responsibilities effectively.
  • Allocate resources effectively and continuously review workload distribution to ensure optimal team productivity and customer requirements are met.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions, coaching opportunities, and development plans.
  • Continuously evaluate sourcing tools, systems, and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support implementation of new processes, automation initiatives, and best practices within the sourcing organization.
  • Proactively propose enhancements based on feedback from Buyers, Suppliers, Sales teams, and Customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Sourcing Operations, Business Development Managers, Regional and Global Supply Chain teams to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for strategic customer opportunities.
  • Build strong working relationships with Sales teams to ensure deep understanding of customers, industries, projects, and market opportunities.
  • Promote collaboration between Purchasing, Sales, Supply Chain and Supplier Management functions.
  • Analyze supplier capabilities, market trends, inventory positions, and product availability within the semiconductor and electronic components market.
  • Provide regular reports to Regional Directors and Senior Purchasing Management on achievements, challenges, risks, and corrective action plans.
  • Contribute to strategic decision‑making regarding customer coverage, supplier engagement, and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor supplier, internal and external sourcing tools utilization, performance and sourcing effectiveness across the region.
  • Promote negotiation practices that secure the best possible pricing and commercial outcomes.
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, direction, and problem‑solving assistance to Buyers.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders progress efficiently from assignment through order placement, confirmation, shipment, and delivery.
  • Verify that parts are secured from the best available source at the most competitive cost within required timelines.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively address delays, shortages, or exceptions.
  • Work directly with Buyers to recover and resolve all order fall‑downs to ensure Sales commitments to customers are fulfilled.
  • Manage daily operational escalations related to: Buyer workload challenges, Supplier performance issues, Order fall‑downs, Delivery disruptions, Allocation concerns, Minor quality issues, System‑related obstacles impacting execution.
  • Escalate significant issues to the Senior Purchasing Manager when necessary.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for strategic sourcing challenges and supplier‑related issues.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting related to team performance, supplier utilization, strategic opportunity conversion, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Evaluate non‑measurable performance indicators, including Attitude and professionalism, Teamwork and supportiveness, Diligence and attention to detail, Willingness to assist others, Responsiveness and urgency, Initiative and accountability, Commitment to customer service.
  • Lead by example by actively participating in departmental activities whenever operational demands require additional support.

Key skills and qualifications:

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, including leadership responsibility within a global environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of post‑secondary education and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and global suppliers.
  • Extensive sourcing experience within the electronics industry, including electronic components such as integrated circuits, passives, memory products, CPUs, and other electronic parts.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and regulated operational environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, procurement tools, and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with Procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and corporate governance requirements.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills with the ability to establish strong partnerships across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, accountability, and ethical business practices.
  • Ability in meeting deadlines and prioritizing in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to innovative technologies.
  • Meticulous with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
